Samsung Galaxy Tablet: The Unofficial Guide ReviewThe author recently updated the book with a few more Galaxy Tab photos, but this Kindle book is still a fraud ***** ask for your money back!
The author has never used the Galaxy Tab.
I have owned a Galaxy Tab for 5 weeks and this book is full of totally false and misleading information.
Just to list some of the errors:
The Galaxy Tab sold by T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, ATT and Rogers cannot make or receive telephone calls, so the author has obviously never made a call using a Galaxy Tab. But he describes advanced caller ID, conference calling, video calling, making calls, and answering calls, etc. ***** All of this information is bogus! *****
Many of the photos are of a phone with a "Dialer" or ""call" button - these buttons are not on the Galaxy Tabs sold in North America. -
Nothing in the book was tested on the Galaxy Tab.
NONE of the shortcuts listed work *****
because they refer to keys that don't exist on the Galaxy Tab
None of the Home screen shortcuts work
None of the Browser Tips work
Security features are incorrect.
None of the tips and tricks which say to use a trac ball work
because there IS NO TRAC BALL on the Galaxy Tab.
He keeps talking about special function keys which is garbage because the Galaxy Tab doesn't have function keys
The book describes a built-in FM radio which does not exist in the Galaxy Tab.
The book gives all sorts of warnings about a removable battery back, but sorry, the battery in the Galaxy Tab is NOT REMOVABLE. The author would know this if he had ever used the device.
Some of the major software described does not exist on the Galaxy Tab.
There is no Samsung Social Hub on the Galaxy Tab it was talked about by Samsung but it does not exist in the USA.
If you purchased this book - ask for your money back!
