Beginning iOS Apps with Facebook and Twitter APIs: for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch ReviewWhile I have eventually found this book useful, the subjects would have been better served if if had two completely disjoint sections for Facebook and Twitter. The interleaved format makes it difficult to find what is needed, especially because most developers will be working with one or another of these subjects at a given time. I'm sure the authors thought it useful to treat similar elements together, but the result makes it hard to sift through. It's release also suffered from bad timing, in that it came out just before iOS 5, which includes much Twitter support, but suffers from lack of handling things like Direct Message reception, a subject this book could and should have covered for iOS 5, had its release been delayed a month or two. Also, Facebook treatment contains nothing about uploading videos, the main reason I bought the book in the first place.
I have found the listing of Twitter dictionary contents to be extremely useful, considering that Twitter's documentation is difficult to follow for an Objective C programmer, such as myself, not having a strong web programming background. I would have much preferred to have simple listings of what is needed to perform various tasks, including what parameters and keywords are needed for parameter dictionaries.
