Discovering the Internet: Complete Concepts and Techniques (Shelly Cashman) ReviewIt took me a while to figure out that their online training is the best way to go for learning this information. Unfortunately because of the speed of change in the internet what they test for is almost surely outmoded in a relatively short time. We have been taught about Windows Vista Applications, but with the success with Windows 7 no one in class seemed to be using Vista.
A technique I use is to use the electronic website flip cards a lot then go into the test about 4-5 times until I can get very high to perfect scores on the tests. Most of the questions on the mid term were on the review tests and flip cards. I did not like the T/F, Multiple choice and multiple choice questions as the answers were not supplied. They might be okay if you don't have anything to do. But I am a working man and because of the economy I am having to work 50 hour weeks . So there just is not time to fool around and waste a lot of time wandering through the book hoping to find answers to questions.
I took the class to get a fundamental understanding of Webpage design. So far we have gotten some, but we are almost all of the way through the book. So we will have time to learn more on webpage design towards the end of the class.
I cannot rate it higher just because of the ephemeral nature of technology having already passed the training, but I think the training technique offered by the book is sound whenused along with the online reviewsDiscovering the Internet: Complete Concepts and Techniques (Shelly Cashman) Overview
