Getting Started with GEO, CouchDB, and Node.js ReviewThere's not much to this book - so small it doesn't even have writing on the binding. I wasn't sure about it, but I bought the book because I wanted to know more about node.js and was interested in location based stuff.
The book's essentially a waste of paper. The author doesn't really explain anything - he points out concepts but doesn't explain the details behind them. The 'connection' between node and most of the other technologies he mentions in the book and location based data are tenuous. You don't learn much about node or CouchDB. They're mentioned, but not really explained. I wouldn't waste my time with this one.
He was clearly hurried or not interested in covering any topic thoroughly. Either he just wanted to publish something or O'Reilly was desperate for another title.
