Mapping Skills with Google Earth (6-8) ReviewI purchased this book with the hopes of not having to reinvent the wheel while teaching Google Earth to middle schoolers.
The only page that was of any use was page 10. It was the only page that gave an assignment that used Google Earth.
The rest of the pages were reading comprehension with questions that followed. Each comprehension had a Google Earth tip but
no further assignments that required the use of Google Earth were to be found in the book. I felt it was a total waste of money.
If I wanted reading comprehension I would have bought reading comprehension. One thing I found that was funny was that they inserted
overhead transparencies. Really? If you are a school that is using Google and other technologies you certainly don't need overhead transparencies.
IMO I felt that by doing that the authors wasted valuable space for other material. As it was the supposedly useful material lasted 43 pages. Don't waste your money.Mapping Skills with Google Earth (6-8) Overview
