The Internet - Illustrated (Illustrated Series) ReviewThe book I bought was "used" and inexpensive. I was afraid, because of the low price (less than half of new), that the book may be in bad shape regardless of the advertisement's claim that it was in good shape. Wow! It was for all purposes (minus the used sticker) like brand new. I was completely happy with all parts of this transaction- except one. I payed the extra money to get the fastest delivery (time was CRITICAL), but didn't get it for two weeks instead of the three days quoted (and paid for). I live in an apartment, in # 15, the package got dropped off at the next building @ 14 (I found out after this was over) even though it was clearly marked. I had to call the delivery service and wait for the driver to go chase it down- many days on the phone, many days worrying, all on a time sensitive project. Even though the price and product was good, given it over again I would have paid full price at the local book store and had it in my hands. No one ever called me back to see if I got it or offer to return the extra money I paid in shipping. I can only guess that; because I quit calling they assumed that I got the book. PS- It turned out that the neighbor (down the road in 14) over two weeks after they put my book in front of her door (I guess that the driver didn't know that there was more appartments further down and assumed it was "14" not "15" like labeled). Well she realized, after finding it in the closet, that her kids found it, opened it and hid it. - She returned it, they never found it, they just kept telling me "It was delivered to you!"
Sorry Amazon, my first purchase will probably be my last. It just goes to show you that when delivery of your product is involved, the job isn't over until the product is in the customers hands.The Internet - Illustrated (Illustrated Series) Overview
